Description
Hey, here's some more info on PE in response to all the comments from the last few pics.Honestly I'm stunned by the responses to those pics, I thought many of you would have given up a long time ago but you're still eager to have this figure! I can say its been extremely motivating seeing your comments! Thank you!
I've seen some voice concern that I might just be repeating what I did before, then giving up at some point. Well I cannot give up now because of many reasons, one of which is quite simply, cash! I've spent way too much time on this project and I need to get some return for it. I got kids to feed... well eh cats. But then there's definitely also the will to want to finish it, and the unwillingness to see Poser go by another day without a professional figure to go with it.
The hurdles I faced last time are no different today, but I've chosen not to see them as hurdles anymore, rather just 'poser'. Poser just has issues that still need dealing with, most of you will know what I mean and if we accept that for now, Poser is still a great tool to use for CGI art. Poser is getting improved bit-by-bit and once PE is out there, they might have all the more reason to speed up that process. You definitely need to voice your opinion to them because they do eventually listen.
The other hurdles I faced was the environment I used to live in, as some of you know: Malawi. A country falling to pieces, buckling under the weight of the corruption and as a consequence not being able to handle the difficult hand its been dealt by climate change. It just wasn't a good environment to foster a career in CG art and comics in, let alone develop a figure that many people hope to be a game-changer. Even the local inhabitants struggle to simply live there as many of them are some of the poorest people in the world, its sad. But anyway, the UK is far better for me, in fact I have sleepless nights because there's always electricity. The availability of electricity used to determine my sleeping habits. Now I have to force myself to sleep!
Anyway, PE will come out asap. I've been a little quiet about it because I wasn't entirely sure in what form she'll be coming out, but yeah her base rig is as good as complete. There's lots to tell but let me just leave you with these pics for now:
And there's a pic of what the hair I'm making is capable of doing with the rigging I've given it. It can also be used for dynamic cloth sims. Morphs are sill being made.

Why would we give up? We all know Poser needs a quality figure...Pauline wasn't it.
Plus you have shown us your girl/girls in action with Lali and company. So we KNOW what she can do.
For me the only real fear is how easy will she be to use?
While i have been using Poser for over 10 years now I haven't delved into the deeper aspects yet due to....reasons and life.
BTW thanks for the Tutorial!
Thanks for the update on Project E's progress. Your transparency and updates on the process of creating her, warts and all, have done a lot to convince me of her worth.

thanks again DP! She should be relatively easy to use, but for vendors there might be a bit of a challenge. Yet again, the mannequins should help them out, so maybe its not so bad!

Should be! You've shown the shit out of what she can do. And if you've got some solid clothing packs/items to release with her she'll be a huge hit. I just hope I can make some items worthy of the mesh!

I'm itching to get hold of her Ero! Have been for a while now.
I'm wanting to delve into content creation and honestly I'm holding off until I can get her.
I've had some craziness in my life and I'm finally seeing the light of day so Ill be able to devote the time needed now.
I'm looking at clothing, armor, hair, you name it - from Scifi to Fantasy and anything in-between.
The only hurdle right now (and its really not one) is which modeling software to use - Blender or Shade 3D.

I have no idea how shades works but blender I know a bit... and I'm staying away from it lol. I looked over my GF's shoulder and although she nailed it pretty fast and also that its amazing what that app does for free, the workflow and UI is a mission in itself!
Yeah I'd love to see stuff come from you!!!!

Lol, I know what you mean about that UI. It was rough.
I also have Silo and they just updated to 2.5 so its not dead apparently.
I hope I can do PE justice with what I make.

This is true but I already own Shade. Of course there is way more tutorials on the net for Blender.

OH well if you already own it and are comfortable with it. Go with what you know or are at least comfortable with. If you aren't confident in your Shade 3D skills I would suggest blender because of the availability of tutorials and general community support.
Shade didn't really hit it big much outside of Japan.
At least that was my observation.
