Aurora hails from the Frozen North, more precisely from Havenfell City, a cold place with equally cold and snobbish people. Aurora and her sister Freya both come from a rich family with little to no regard for their daughters' wishes. They were kind enough to let them decide their job, as long as it was a profitable one. Freya's dream job was to be a fashion designer, while Aurora liked more simple things. She would have been content being a waitress, but there would have been no way her parents approved of her choice, hence why she kept it a secret from everyone. After work she would usually go on a stroll with Kami on her sleigh, they'd go up on the Snowy Hills, watch the northern lights together and talk. Kami had always been there for her
Aurora had always harboured feelings for her best friend Kami and when she was on the verge of confessing her feelings for her, she had been surprised by her parents who brought her home instantly. That was the worst evening of her life, not only her parents discovered her little secret work but they also found out about her sexuality. Their daughter? In love with a girl? Hell nah. Not gonna happen, it's against nature. Not too long after the hellish arguement, her parents announced her that she had been bethroted to the son of another rich family, since she apparently had not found a job yet.
That was the last straw.
Aurora had enough.
She planned to run away and tell Kami about this, maybe they could escape together. She arrived at her best friend's house only to find out that Kami had departed for a long mission and after that she would have established herself in a town named Lilypad.
Kami's parents told Aurora that Kami planned to tell her about this, infact she first tried to reach Aurora's house only to be driven away by her parents. Then she sent letters, which never arrived for obvious reasons.
The Sleigh reindeers offered Aurora a lift to Havenfell's train station, which she accepted.
Due to many complications, it took Aurora a month to arrive in Lilypad, she stayed in Hotel Lilypad for a few days after arriving and then officially moved to Kami's house.
