These redesing go for Astropede and his planned patner from the cancel game "Segatropede" where it was planne for Astropede to try to destroy a virus inside Robotnick as way of helping Sonic in his fights, that´s all i know form the plant idea, that and the mechanic the game had planned to obtain orbs from enemies who would be the shield for Astropede.
