Description
These are icons I created as practice. I wanted each icon to be distinct enough to be recognized quickly - an important trait for any game asset. My illustrations always start in the research stage, and these started as ideas for objects within a theme and continued on to distinct forms and colors. The final product is an image created from several reference photos.
There is also a natural progression to the images, the less important ones are simpler in style and smaller in size. This combination of color, size, shape and content helps the player distinguish between icon "worth" almost instinctively.
