I've been looking forward to playing this game again since i beat it on the original gamecube. A lot has been improved: Graphics are obviously updated and beautiful, backtracking isn't nearly as bad as it was in the original, the uncensored Vivian, and even missing dialogue was added back. There's even a 100% reward that's not that unreasonable to get compared to previous games. Now I've actually said before that I thought bug fables was better than TTYD, now that the remaster has come out with so many improvements has my opinion changed? Actually... no it hasn't. Don't get me wrong this is still a must play game, but there's actually one thing Bug fables does better that gets it ahead of even the remake. Both games have great characters, stories, and style. However, the side quests in TTYD are mediocre. most are just go talk to this person, now go talk to that person, and now go talk to the first person again. Most are pretty meh without much real challenge other than to your patience. They also mostly have lame rewards, usually giving you 30 coins. Bug fables side quests have much more interesting challenges with optional bosses, and usually unique rewards like badges and unlocking better recipes. Still this is a must play if you've never play the original or if you'd like to go on this great journey again. I give it an Amazing 9 out of 10
