Engine 1 is located in Downtown City of Sheridan is part of the Rescue taskforce for Powder River Fire Authority. This unit is a 2023 Pierce Enforcer/Frag M80 Rescue Pumper with 750 gallon tank and 1500 gpm pump. Engine 1 is set up with five hose beds: one with 1000' of 5" large diameter supply hose, two with 300' of 2 1/2" supply/attack hose, and two with 300' of 1 3/4" attack hose. In addition to its hosebeds, Engine one also carries two 150' preconnected 1 3/4" crosslays, one 100' preconnected bumper tray line of 1 3/4" attack hose, two 8' segments of 5" hard suction hoses, two 25' segments of 2 1/2" supply/attack hose in the engineers compartment, two 50' rolls of 2 1/2" supply/attack hose with one of the rolls preconnected to a blitz fire nozzle for rapid deployment, one 150' high rise pack of 1 3/4" attack hose.. Engine Fourteen also carries two sets of forcible entry tools, one 14' roof ladder, one 24' extension ladder, one 10' collapsible attic ladder, two pike poles, one roof hook, one trash hook, two dry chemical extinguishers, one pressurized water extinguisher, four spare SCBA bottles,One Set of hydrant tools, hose adapters and nozzles, one 300' bag of life safety rope, two 150' lengths of utility rope, four rolls of fire scene tape, cribbing, battery powered extrication equipment, spare batteries for the extrication equipment, one salvage cover, two bags of quick absorbent, one wide mouth shovel, one push broom (disassembled for transport), one bolt cutter, one K-12 saw, one chainsaw, one water rescue dry suit, five collapsible traffic cones, ten road flares, 4 gas monitoring devices, a thermal imaging camera,one decon kit, one mobile data terminal, county map books, station area pre plan books, county wide hazard pre plan books.Staffing 1 Career Engineer (EMT/AEMT/Paramedic), 1 Career Lieutenant or Career Captain (EMT/AEMT/Paramedic), and 2 Career Firefighters (First Responders/EMTs/AEMTs/Paramedics)
