Description So I dunno why this in particular I just thought I'd do something historical and I was watching The Other Boleyn Girl at the time so I just did a Tudor-ish dress. While I like it over all I'm a bit iffy on the lighting, I'm just not sure that it's light source makes much sense. And the head piece is....not the best but I like how her face turned out. The sleeves leave much to be desired but eh I guess the skirts are fine. I'm a huge fan of historical fashion. Like huge. I just call them pretty dresses. And everyone who knows me knows that. I say let's watch something with pretty dresses and that mean's we're gonna watch a period piece. Granted that history is very very broad. But hey each era has unique, beautiful elements.
Drawing or designing historical costumes is 5% reading 10% paintings and photographs, 5% other peoples' work and 80% F U! Seriously. Not a ton has actually survived throughout time so we really don't get to see historical fashion in it's entirety, and when you think about it fashion isn't just one type of clothing. I mean today we have hundreds of different styles so it's not a stretch to say the same can be applied to history. Victorian fashion for example, went through some pretty huge changes over it's 60 some odd years. Really as long as you get the key points then you can just go for whatever.
This is my base, this particular pose hasn't been released yet. I'm waiting til I can release it with a few other poses and skin tones. It's probably an overdone pose anyway.
