Name: Arthur (preferred: "Artie")
Age: Appears 9-10 (Birthday May 18th, year unknown)
Gender: Male
Origin: Thirsk, England

Appearance: Artie is identified by his all black eyes as what's commonly referred to as a BEK -- a black-eyed kid -- but no one knows enough about them in order to be classified as human, demon, vampire, extraterrestrial, or otherwise. Like the majority of BEKs, he wears plain clothing -- particularly consisting of a dark t-shirt, green shorts, white socks but no shoes, and a hoodie on occasion with an olive-green toque to disguise himself on missions. The one thing that's unique regarding his way of dressing, is the military dog tag with the code A 0 009 that dangles from around his neck.

Personality: Artie speaks in a very monotone voice, occasionally slurring and arising suspicion of a possible though slight speech impairment. Like the majority of his kind, he may be uncharacteristically polite until his requests are denied, where he will start losing his patience and resort to shouting and showing off typical manipulative behaviour. The mannerisms of a BEK in general develop with a very confused concept of the customs that society follows today, often confused by technology and morals. He speaks in unusual reference and detail to the past, giving him the feel of being something far older than he appears; though adamantly proceeds to convince them that he is "just a kid", or similar excuses that can leave one paranoid and reasonably disturbed.
Among his peers, Artie is best known for his ability to take charge as a natural leader, and holds an astonishingly high rank in the organization they serve as some independent form of proxies. (Join us!) His motives are unknown, for it is in BEKs pledge that whether personal or through will of the organization, no reasons will ever be known. Artie is extremely strict to this, as he is to most things, and doesn't easily forgive, either.

Story: As said, black-eyed kids give neither their motive nor background to anyone; and a contributing factor is that people still don't know what exactly they are. Theories are vastly relative, and to explain in detail would be to corrupt (if not expel) the mystery and suspense for the origin of the black-eyed kids and their variety of horror. However, all stories where Artie may make an appearance will be linked back here.

Trivia:

- Artie will not speak to human children...but no one knows why.
- From his own independent story currently being written, he uses the excuse to want to "pet your cat" to gain entry into a woman's house.
