This would own as a print.
The realism, the colours are excellent.

Hot damn! This is what I call beautiful!
I love the way the light shines through the clouds on the mountain, and the water looks like ice. The mood and atmosphere in this one is just something beyond words. Good job!

omg this rocks! wow. i cant believe how incredible the terrain came out. i love the water. the shot is a little dark overall. i maybe would have made the shadows darker and the sunlight lighter....increase the contrast of the lighting a bit more. the lighting is the only part that erks me. but i really love the sunrays coming through to hit the mountain.
this piece is awesome. great job

i was just wondering two things about this, wtf is a render and what kind of camera took this?
π: 0 β©: 1
asimplewish In reply to nightstrobe [2004-02-17 14:39:42 +0000 UTC]
A render means it is a 3D computer generated (aka rendered, hence the name) image, and therefore, no kind of camera took it. It was created using a computer program, in this case, Terragen.

Holy crap. I just came.
That light on the mountain is incredibly realistic and the water is not just some weird bump effect with reflection applies onto it.
This looks very convincing!
(On another note I almost fell out of my seat when I saw this in the Daily Deviation ('grats by the way!!) box, 'cos I wrote a poem called exactly the same thing not long ago!)
