Description
The Ares class was designed to combat the Klingon D6-class in the four years war. It was the first pure warship developed by Starfleet and was bigger, faster, and better armed than any other vessel before it. The simulations as well as the specifications looked optimistic, but its first real test would be on the battlefield. Operation Pegasus would be the proving ground.Rendered in 3d Max 10

With all the trouble im happy we get at least something. It may not be the full 90 min film, but better then nothing.
Im a long time fan of Star Trek fan-productions since the 90' when i first saw Starship Highlander and later Hidden Frontier and soooo many projects were killed and canceled before they reach compleation.

Not anymore. They have settled the situation. Axanar can shoot a 30 min episode.

But they have had to get out of their lease in Valencia because they can't pay the rent and move their sets to Atlanta. Β Also, they're out of money and are prohibited from crowdfunding so it's pretty much dead in the water. Β What a sad waste of $1.4 million. Β

I heard about. The cost of the new rent is only 20 percent of the old. So pretty much cheaper.
Dont read much about Axanar in the last weeks, will they start a new crowdfunding campaign? Im sure thare are alot of Axanar Fans out there who will give money again.

No offence, but I think anyone willing to give them more money after wasting the $1.4 million they had is silly at best. Β
As part of the copyright suit settlement agreement they are banned from using crowdfunding for Axanar. Β They tried doing a campaign for their now failed Industry Studios but only managed 310 donors and about $22k, a fraction of their $60k goal. Β

30 minutes Axanar is better as nothing. Im a fanfilmer myself and know, you can do handle alot of story in 30 min.

I hope if they do finish it, that they managed to get all of Richard Hatch's part filmed before he died. He had an interesting Klingon going in the Prelude.

I dont think so. They are still not finished with the skript, so they cannot filmed all dialoges of him. But i hope too, that they include some of the scenes they already filmed of him in the new parts of Axanar.
