Description

Ravenous, fast-breeding invaders with a bizarre life cycle and extreme sexual dimorphism. They travel to a planet by stowing away in spaceships and burrow underground, multiplying, only to come to the surface and devour everything they possibly can, throwing the planetary ecosystem into turmoil. The panicking survivors evacuate the doomed planet, carrying more stowaways with them...

They begin their life cycle as undifferentiated legless ferret-looking things that nosh on anything and everything, and after a week they begin to demonstrate their sexual characteristics.

The diminished creature above is a S'kroy male, and the slobbering hulk beneath him is a S'kroy female. Males are cunning, and females are mindless beasts. A male can control and coordinate up to 5 females using the strange organ on his forehead... in females, this organ is more of an antennae that receives his signal, and ossified to become an effective weapon.

Males are useless on their own, and their arms are good for nothing but hooking over the shoulders of a female. Females, on the other hand, seem to have been MADE for the role of combat... their jaws and talons can shred through steel, their armored hide can repel bullets, and they come with an arsenal of shooting quills and toxic glands.

Of course, Greys are so sophisticated that such creatures are dealt with easily, but if an infestation is left for too long it can easily overrun an entire world in a matter of months.

Think of them as your typical race of planet-eating, hive-minded space locusts, but with a mammalian twist.
