Well, "Fighter" probably isn't the best word. "Protector" or "Guardian" (duh) would be better choices. But "Fighter" sounds better.This is a reply to 's challenge to draw a female Sonic character as a hand-to-hand fighter of some sort. So, I chose the most non-violent of 'em all, of course!
I think her fighting style would be heavily influenced by the martial art Aikido, which is about avoiding/nullifying conflict than creating it. This means her movement would be very fluid, and almost no use of strikes whatsoever. She would use her opponent's force to move them.

Her design is super cute, and I like the idea of Aikido being her fighting style. Well suited for a pacifist like Tikal, just in case she has to fight.

An alternate martial art for Tikal would be Judo, which as you probably know involves throwing opponents to the ground without kicking/punching them.
But I like the alternate outfit.

Well, I kinda figured that Tikal likely knows how to find, she just doesn't like to. Especially since her father was a warrior... she was probably trained as a warrior herself. Plus, if she ever did have to find she would mostlikely fistfight (SA2 Multiplayer for example).

Interesting concept of Tikal here. Yeah, I can see her as like a bodyguard as opposed to an attacker.
As for Aikido, my fancharacter Bat is a black-belt at Aikido (I'm not in real life) LOL you can see him in action here: [link]
Oh, I love Tikal's outfit, she's like "I don't want to hurt you, but I AM capable of giving you excruciating pain!"

I like the costume and her posture. She does have this ready-to-fight look, yet is non-threatening. I like how you made Tikal's costume into this fighting suit; the original theme is kept, and it looks really comfortable to move in.
I also love how you thought about a fighting style for her. Aikido sounds great for Tikal.
this is a side note, but I've always wondered how well can Tikal fight - I believe she was trained as a fighter, since she's a daughter of a violent tribe...
