It would be a cool idea to combine the two, though. The Greek Titan mixed with a kyojin/titan.

Oh my gosh, why didn't I think of that sooner!?! As a book/lit nerd that is something I usually think of.
Now I want to watch it all over again to see what other Greek things could be referenced. I suppose maybe there can be a comparison of Sisyphus with Erwin maybe? The guy who was punished to forever push a rock up a hill only to have it fall down. Or maybe that is the whole battle against Titans until Eren comes along and takes the rock away. (I better stop now. I'll go full nerd soon.)

Woah I didn't think of him this way! That makes sense ;O (See? xD) But you know I used to think that Erwins is referenced to another deity, from Norse mythology: Tyr, god of war. Check him out
Once I had that time when I intensively was looking for connections between SNK and different mythologies, but now I barely remember any of my conclusions x'D
