I like to think he freaks out the Toy crew during the night, and even during the day he's a little weird for them.
At night, he doesn't react much to them, even when let out of his box, because if he comes out of his box and it's dark and children aren't around, he undergoes post traumatic stress and thinks the purple man has returned. And he must stop the purple man.
But during the day he's perfectly happy! The children wind the music box, he pops out when the music box stops and there's cheering and laughing and he's just so happy! And he hands out presents and toys to all the little children, just like always. He'd never have it any other way. And if one of the other animatronics is in the room he gives them one too! But he never talks. He is a mime, after all...

Yup that's pretty much accurate for him. Except of course, I believe him to possess a voice.

I think he's so much cuter, and frankly less frightening, with a voice. Like, to appeal to kids who don't take well to scary robot voices, he uses gestures and stuff.
