Description
I was going to leave this as an unfinished practice banner piece for Bronies Australia, but she looked kinda cute so I figured I'd do a bit of work and throw in a background.It's a short story but I'll skip it anyway. Suffice to say this was inspired by Evil-Spike 's idea posted on Bronies Australia. Derived of course from River Tam in the Serenity movie posters. Aurora is wielding her weapons using mini tractor beams which can also be used for climbing and as low-power directed energy weapons.
Props to SpaceKingofSpace for the Aurora Australis OC (there's even a dandy reference sheet which I found, um, just then (oopsy), and also to Bellatwix5 who named her.

Nice work! I love the treatment of tone on her coat, and I have a thing for chemise lingerie. I think that's what it is... It looks semi- transparent soft material. Nice job in that regard too.
Awesome surface treatment of those weapons, particularly the disk grind texture on that axe. Gritty!
The energy effects are also really cool, as the green really stands out from the red and ochre. I can imagine that the green tractor beam stuff smells like vicks for some reason. At least Aurora will have any colds sorted out.
You really draw ponies well staring down the barrel of the camera. I feel as if she's going to lunge and lop off my head!
