So rendering water was a lot more difficult than other effects for me but believe it or not this was the best looking one. I still have a lot to learn.

Anyway onto my thoughts on the character. I love Nya so much and I feel the need to defend her and the show. Over the years I've heard people call out Ninjago for engaging in the Smurfette principle and basically bemoaning her character for being a part of that but I think that's unfair of her character and the show. Yes Nya is the only girl ninja on the team but the show has gone out its way to show that's not the crutch of her character. Even before she was a ninja all the way back in season 1 she was refusing to be pushed aside and became Samurai X so she could become the hero she always knew she could become. She even turned down finding out if she was green ninja or not because she knew she was already good enough as is. And again that's just season 1. Over ten seasons later she has grown up so much and I just love her characterization.
