Aw, Tenderheart my second favorite Care Bear. Or at least 80s Tenderheart I haven't liked how he's been treated lately.

And now I'm gonna rant about it:
My biggest problem with Modern Tenderheart is how he's being treated as the grand all knowing Care Bear when originally, he was no different than any other Care Bear. The reason he's the leader is just because he's told to be. Which is probably why I relate to him so much. Not only am I oldest child in my family, but I'm the oldest grandchild, and I'm older than all my mom's friends' kids. So as the oldest I'm always in charge of taking care of them, and expected to be good at it. And Tenderheart is good at it. In The Care Bear Family episode "Care-a-lot's Birthday" he's in charge of setting up the celebration with Braveheart. Now did he volunteer for this job? No Braveheart did that for him, but he does it with grace. While Braveheart is freaking out Tenderheart is calm taking care of everything one step at a time. He's also there to comfort Braveheart when he feels frustrated or distraught over yelling at Baby Hugs and Baby Tugs. He's a great leader not because he's the all mighty Care Bear but because he's no different than any other Care Bear, excepted he's burden with more responsibilities, but he takes these responsibilities and he takes it with strive.

And NO Unlock the Magic Tenderheart is not a father figure to Cheer, Grumpy, Share, Funshine, and Goodluck he's nothing more than an older brother. Same goes with Wonderheart. There's a difference between a father and a responsible uncle. Tenderheart is a responsible uncle.

Also can we stop giving Tenderheart deep voices. This goes for Bedtime or any other Care Bear. No Care Bear should have a deeper voice than Grumpy. It's just unnerving.

David Lodge, Nick Shakoour, you do a good job with what you're given but Jim Henshaw and Billie Mae Richards will always be the REAL voices of Tenderheart.
