True, though I've been thinking of making Yuuno Nanoha's "Tank", after all with his shielding and protection magic he is virtually untouchable XD

well, his defense-spells have never been broken in the main story
(nanoha crushed a barrier with the testrun of her improved StarLightBreaker
and Nanoha+Fate+Subaru in a mock battle)
+ he doesn't have a device, so all his spells are handmade = slower/weaker than with a device
