Just been lurking around your gallery, had to comment on this.
I love things like this, kind of Clive Barker (Ever seen Hellraiser?) grotesque augmentation to the body...
Looking at some of your stuff colored digitally, I would love to see you do this the same way. Looks very nice this way, just think it'd be interesting to see it slicker. But, perhaps that wouldn't serve as well... Just rambling here.
Good stuff, think I'm gonna add it to faves.

i don't see a need for a background... i think its an awesome piece and the white space looks fine...
the only thing i can say is that the fingernails are a bit too white... other than that its Really nicely done, hands are hard for alot of people... but you did a nice job...

i've always wondered why people would take 'normal' things and warp the hell out of 'm with little faces or machinery. i guess it's a bit of an inheritance of hieronymus bosch - the bizarre monstruous creatures he'd put in his displays of hell.
expanding the piece a bit - i'd make a central, green glowing circular puddle of goo, with a very dark background - where you can see a gigantic sewer system, focal blurred. this hand, arising from that puddle, would completely finish the piece.

this came out really well man. . just browsing through your gallery, there's some really nice art in there
Love the drawing, lots of things going on, and it fits together well. Colors work well together as well. I don't think a background is really necessary in this piece, seeing as how you're trying to focus on the hand, and what's on the arm, not really a bg.
Great job, keep up the great work.

Concept here and execution are really cool from what I can see. One suggestion I can think of right now is that the hand itself doesn't have enough augmentation. In comparison with the forearm, it's very plain. It does give a kind of flow to everything though. Instead of being one mass of feaky shit slammed into the flesh, it draws your eyes from the bottom upwards. I suppose how much distortion's on the hand is more of a personal preference, as it works just fine how it is. As for background suggestions, how about a crowd of people with only vague outlines visible?

a very intresting piece, beautifully executed as well. i like the usage of various things, biomechanics and the screaming face... i'm quite intrigured if there was an emotion or event that inspired this piece.. it seems to carry a lot of meaning to it...
