Lore & Information
The snow swine is a unique species adapted to living in Loonia's colder regions. They are covered in a thick, insulating coat of curly wool. In fact, the wool on their face and ears is so thick that it is impossible to tell if snow swine even posses eyes. If they do have eyes, they aren't really needed, as a snow swine's sense of smell is second to none and they are plenty capable of navigating by smell and touch alone. The highly specializes sniffer also acts as a way of regulating temperature; it is very warm to the touch as it releases all of the snow swine's extra body heat. Snow swine often use their colorful snoot as a tool to melt snow and ice in order to dig burrows and find food.
A snow swine's true natural environment is only in the arctic parts of Loonia where it is cold all or most of the year. However, as avid explorers, they are known to venture far outside of their territory during the winter months when it snows over most of Loonia's globe. They do not seem to have any internal instinct to return home before winter ends and will find themselves displaced in the spring. Snow swine who are not either helped by evoloons to return home or taken into captivity unfortunately often end up as a meal for one of Loonia's many predators.
All snow swine are born the size of micro piglets. They can stay small their whole life, but they can also grow to be giant wild hog sized, and there is no one to determine how large a young snow swine will grow to be. Any evoloon who takes on a snow swine as a companion is making a huge gamble on the amount of pet they will need to take care of. Despite the potential of having a pet the size of a large bear, many owners report they make for rewarding pets as they are very intelligent and can even display dog-like behavior if properly trained.

- Snow swine evolved from an unrecorded species of Earth suina brought to Loonia from one of Travis' early portal explorations. While many Earth animals have been introduced to and now live in Loonia, the snow swine is the only known species to have merged with Loonia's magic creating an entirely new creature. Efforts have been made to determine the exact original Earth animal that snow swine evolved from, but with zero leads found it is likely that the animal has since become extinct.
- Snow Swine are one of very few Loonian species who do not hatch from eggs. Shed clumps of snow swine wool will absorb magic from Loonia's atmosphere. If left undisturbed for long enough the clump will sprout legs and a face and thus a piglet is born. Wild populations are kept in check by the many animals who use the shed wool for nesting materials. Owners of captive snow swine must stay on top of scooping up any fallen wool or else they will find themselves with another mouth to feed.

- Depicted above is the least amount of fluffy they can be. You can add even more fluff if desired.

- Adult size can range anywhere from micro piglet to giant forest hog
- They can have any colors or patterns
- The glow on the nose tip is optional
