Description
An advanced Bdellis that has survived long enough to form a mind. Meona stalks the Shattered Labyrinth, a section of sewers that has degraded and collapsed so much that it makes navigation nearly impossible. The many tunnels, pits, holes and chutes create a maze that has consumed many, and she rules over this place has her domain. She uses the many chambers and dead ends to raise her young, who in turn live within the maze and consume all who lose themselves within it. Other forms of Bdellis are not common within the Shattered Labyrinth, as her brood fill all the niches.Meona is a master in explosive weaponry, as her body naturally generates it. Her body can quickly generate hundreds of eggs that are infused with unstable chemicals. When these eggs burst, they ignite into a powerful blast. These eggs are spat out by her "arms" which unfurl open to reveal her true bony hands. These stubby appendages can spit out concentrated balls of eggs that can be shot from her arm holes or thrown at enemies. These arm holes can also spit out specially designed larva: fliers and seekers. Upon creation, fliers take to the air with their arm wings and fight alongside their mother. Their abdomens are stuffed with explosive eggs, and they fire these eggs out at attackers. They can only spit one egg at a time, which only does minor damage, but when battling Meona, any distraction may be fatal. If enough fliers are present, they can quickly fill the arena with these organic bullets. Seekers are more short-termed larva that home in one enemies. Once spat out, they shoot towards opponents like missiles and try to jab them with their head spike. Upon contact with enemies they will violently explode. With basic intelligence, they will only explode when hitting other living beings. If they make contact with a barrier or wall, they will simply bounce off and continue pursuit. It is advised that foes destroy these larva from a distance.
It is this explosive power that has made the Shattered Labyrinth so difficult to navigate, as Meona's attacks constantly shift the rubble and collapse tunnels. She is protective of her young, and will bring down the earth around her in order to seal off foes and keep them away from her egg chambers.

Another boss design for Rupture. The one issue I have with making enemies and bosses is that I often love them so much that I hate that the character will eventually have to kill them.
