Description
Early 1990's this tall, slender guy was made for 10k and longer distances. He did nationally well, and he belongs to one of my first athletes to pose naked. That's why I put this photograph up here. Today all these topathletes shave everywhere. I was rebuilding the house at that time, hence the beams in the background that I positioned somewhat "creatively" to have a more interesting background. No other meaning than that. I believe I used 1000watt Hedler lamps, umbrellas mounted,Β steadily burning incl. an inbuilt cooler, so I could adjust precisely what the photo would look like before the exposure on film. I didn't use Polaroids to check let alone the easy-check-by-digitalbacks of today.Β I used an Ilford HP4 (400iso) b/w rollfilm in a 6x4,5 cm Mamiya camera.Related content

What an excellent photo. He is very handsome of course, but I like how you played on his features and denoted the shift in hair colour with the splash on his top, as well as the planks in the background with the interspersed marks of the branchlets that contrast to the bright plank.
