well for the king's coat I used a basic dress-suit jacket pattern, and similarly for the queen's top I used a jacket pattern and just altered it heavily into what it was. for the dress I used a petticoat pattern.

Hum... Idk. Its seems just a bit over the top.... There is just so many different patterns that its hard where to focus. Im not saying that the design or anything about it is bad (I actually admire your work), but maybe a bit less detail in every couple of inches. But that's just my opinion....

lol, I don't blame you. There's a lot to be said about a good and simple design, but I like to try to cram a lot of detail into mine. The trick is to make it so that not all of the detail is fighting for attention, so that some of it is subtle and other parts are the focus points. I know I can keep improving, and I still have the rest of the cards in the deck to design, so I have plenty of time to practice. Thanks for the honest opinion, I always appreciate the input

hehe, the black chucks weren't meant to be permanent, but if I do keep them for the costume then I'll be sure to at least add some detail to them to incorporate them more into the design

I'm not sure if they'd be any kind of cleanable, they have lots of heat 'n bond and I really don't know how you clean something with that in it. If anything then yes, dry clean only xS
