Chapter 7: An Unlikely Friend

You and Tenma had arrived in front of Dieter's father apartment. Listening in quietly, you had heard that Dieter was crying and sounds of what seemed like hitting were coming from the other side of that door.

You and Tenma immediately rushed in, and you pushed his father off of him. "Get away from him you cruel, inconsiderate man!!!"

"What are you talking about? Dieter fell and I was trying to help patch him up!"

"LIES!" Dieter bellowed, enraged with anger. "THOSE ARE ALL LIES!! YOU BEAT ME EVERYDAY! UNLIKE YOU, TENMA AND _______ SAVE LIVES EVERYDAY! YOU JUST BREAK THEM!!"

"Wait. So your that wanted Doctor and nurse? Wanted for murder? Ha! Luckily I already had figured that out and alerted the authorities."

"We are taking Dieter. " You kicked him in the face, and Tenma pulled Dieter out of there.

"Go to hell where you belong, you creep." You spat on him in disgust as you left, running out of town with Dieter, and Tenma.

"But Tenma... I don't want to leave you and ____! The both of you are my friends!"

"I'm sorry Dieter. I can't get you involved and this killed. Please take this money and go to this address.."

He handed Dieter some money for a bus and a slip of paper that had a address on it.

"Tenma." You pointed back to behind you and Dieter was following the both of you.

"Dieter.. Please take that bus..."

"No Tenma. I want to be with you and _____! You both saved me! I want to help you in bringing that "guy" to justice."

His eyes went wide and softened. "Alright. You can come with us."

You, Tenma, and Dieter walked on the side of a country road and there was no sign of a ride, or even sign of a ride to get hitchhiked on.

However, a little later during your travel, a small car drove up beside the three of you and it turned out to be an old couple. Their car parked ahead of you and broke down. "Excuse me!"

The old lady called to you all. "Could you help us? Our car just broke down!"

Tenma, Dieter, and you approached them. However there was no help that you could provide since you and Tenma were medical experts and Dieter was just a child, not mechanics.

"Wait.." Tenma chimed in. "My girl and I will be back. Dieter, stay here and keep an eye out on these two. We are going to find help."

"Oh bless your heart!"

Tenma and you walked off along side the road and the sun was starting to set.

"Yes?"

"There's something that I have wanted to tell you for a while."

"What is it, Tenma?"

"I want to ask you something very important once this is all over, alright?"

"Yes."

"Now in the time being.."

He held out his hand for you to hold his hand. "Come here."

You took his hand in yours and the both of you walked to find a mechanic to help the old couple.

"I think I see them!" The old couple saw the both of you as you and Tenma walked up the hill, Dieter too excited to see the both of you once again.

"Did you bring what we needed? A mechanic to fix our car?" A tall man popped out from behind them with a tool kit to help.

"Oh goodness gracious! This is very wonderful of you! Martin, we should give these nice people a drive to where we are going!"

"Alright my dear." Martin replied.

"We are headed to a sight that our son told us about. It's a old, abandoned castle where he actually visited before he went off to the army."

"Very good that he is protecting our country, isn't it?"

"I can say that it is." Tenma smiled.

"Say. What are your names? I know his is Dieter." She pointed to Dieter seated in between you and Tenma.

"Well. I'm Kenzo. And this is, _____. We are from out of town for a specific reason."

"What is your reason as to why you're

Tenma sunk slightly in his position. "Oh. Well we are just looking for someone. Hopefully we will find him."

"I think you will." Martin smiled. "Hold on though. We need to make one quick stop." The car stopped in a parking lot which was for the local police station.

Tenma's eyes went wide in shock when you looked up at him and then you looked up as well.

"The Police... We can't be found here.."

You thought as you and Tenma crouched down as a police officer was walking out to his car and looked inside the car, seeing you three. He just looked and walked on, not realizing who you and Tenma were. The old couple then returned and drove the three of you up to that castle that they were talking about earlier.

When you and Tenma were up on the balcony of the castle, the sun was starting to set. It casted a beautiful pink-orange glow. The wind was a cool, soft breeze that was also very pleasurable.

Tenma walked up beside you and placed his hand on top of yours. He looked into your (y/n) eyes with his soft, caring brown eyes. His smile was practically making you melt with love.

"Tenma...Im so in love with you..."

He smiled, and drew you close to him.

"I love you, _____. "

"And I love you too,Tenma."

The two of you edged close to one another and your lips softly touched one another, kissing softly. Compared to last time, Tenma's kiss was a little more rough, but also wanting.
