Description
I've been intending to do the displacer beast for a while now. I really like this monster, because that's just how I feel about feline creatures in general. In my looking up artwork for this character, I found that there's a disappointingly small amount of it using its displacement ability (so far I've only seen it in one artwork and an Order of the Stick strip).The other image for the week is the Kraken , presented to you in blinding blues.

This is without any doubt my favorite illustration of a displacer beast ever done. It's captivating a horrifying, I think the blood of even my most stalwart characters would curdle in their veins if the DM were to describe them the way you've rendered one here.
With flesh and eyes flickering in and out of visibility with every motion, every mind shattering step keeping you frozen in fear as it calmly approaches you - the bite sinking in before you are even within it's reach... I think every character I have will have developed a crippling fear of these things now.

Of all the people to attempt to depict the beast's ability -- OotS? That's hilarious.
You did a good job of it, too...this makes my eyes hurt to look at it, because they can't figure out which bits to focus on.
