Description Remember the winter of innocence,
With the gloomy mornings of gray and white,
And the rabbit-pawed puppies in the snow.
The sparkling stars on the tops of trees,
The slipping and sliding, the hot chocolate and the tea.
Cherry-cheeked babies and scarves and snow balls.
The ice and the cold and the wind in the trees.
The sneaking and peeking of children and gifts,
And the fires at New Years and wine with a cheer.
The kisses at Midnight under hanging mistle toe,
The padding of Father Christmas and his deer.
We all can return to this every year,
And remember the winter of innocence.
