Description
It keeps me open, tired and dry.Leaves me restless from where I lie.
The sun keeps rising, my eyes stay wide,
And watch the clouds of daylight glide.
The night returns, like a mistress to man,
But sleep I do not, though try as I can.
It teases my senses, it blurs out my eyes,
Though even this case of insomnia dies.
With a sigh and yawn, my weary breath leaves,
The wind outside kisses the limbs of the trees.
And finally, this day, at the crack of noon,
I find myself sleeping under daytime's moon.
