That is how the summer will go,
Thinking and talking, but hundreds
Of miles apart. Unable to see
Each other, for a very long time.

Five and a half months together,
And now two full months apart.
I wonder how we'll do it.
If we'll even do it at all.

We both have our doubts about
If we will last through the summer.
I would love to stay with you forever.
But this forever may be a never.

By the end, there might be a never.
But there might be a forever.
You leave in a few days for that
Eight week trip hundreds of miles away.
