Description Robyn sighed quietly, rolling her head and shoulders to get out a satisfying "pop".
She blinked her eyes open slowly, the darkness soothing them from sleep.
"J...?" she asked, looking around tiredly for the man.
"Hmm..?" Robyn heard quietly from the dark, and awaited her eyes to adjust.
"Did anything happen while I was asleep?" she finally caught sight of the man leaning against the bars of his cell comfortably.
J smiled sweetly, "Nothing, my Robyn." he murmured, laughing quietly. What a charmer.
'Did he just say... my?" Robyn thought, but just frowned, shrugging it off.
"Good." she breathed, looking up at the tiny hole in the ceiling for a moment. "I love this light..." she murmured, a small smile playing on her lips.
J laughed, "Don't we all." Robyn blinked, "All...?".
J's head tilted to the side, "Well, you didn't think we were the only ones here, did ya, love?" Robyn saw his lips rise in a smirk.
"W-what?!" she almost gasped, but looked around in the dark. And of course, she caught a glimpse of something move in the dark. Then something else.
"W-what the h-hell is this place..." she whispered, straining her eyes on a certain figure, far away in the never ending shadows.
J then began humming quietly, seemingly humming that English song, "London bridge is falling down". "S-sew t-them u-up t-to l-live a-again." a breathy, groaning voice sang from the shadow. "L-live a-again...". The voice from the dark coughed, before singing in that horrifyingly creepy voice again.
"L-live a-again..."
"L-live a-again..."
"S-sew t-them u-up t-to l-live a-again..."
"My fair Master."
The voice strained incredibly, but managed to choke out the final words in a strong voice. Robyn stared out in horror, her face falling pale. "Wha..." she managed, but just looked shocked at J, who was still humming steadily.
He then broke the melody, smiling and closing his eyes lightly for a second.
"They like it when I hum for them. It's his favorite song, too."
Robyn swallowed. No, she couldn't chicken out now. "Who is 'he'?" she asked, narrowing her eyes lightly in curiosity.
J's head rocked lightly back and forth, before he snapped back to his normal self. "Hmm? Oh, just the swagmen that accompany with with us. Except they been 'with the guards'. J smiled, back to his normal self.
Robyn frowned, "Swagmen?".
J rolled his eyes, "Hobos, tramps... You get it." he said with a smirk, but Robyn just kept a straight face.
She heard an eerie, breathy, moan.
"H-how come we haven't heard them before? Or seen them?" she said low, looking back towards the dark figure that was once singing.
J shrugged, "They only talk when Mad J hums. Er, I. I mean, I." he grinned sheepishly.
Robyn didn't say anything, she just didn't want to know.
"What happens when they go with the guards?" she asked, brushing her tangled, messed hair from her shoulder.
J shrugged again, "I dunno. But they go in screamin' like a whacker, and come back out like a zombie."
J held his arms straight out mockingly, "Groanin' and shit...".
Robyn furrowed her eyebrows. "Refrain your language..." she growled, ducking her head down slightly.
"Oi, I thought Americans were the kings of cursing!" he called, crossing his arms.
"Not all of us..." Robyn frowned, glaring at J through the bars.
J rolled his eyes with a sigh, "Whatever... So, what's your escape plan?" He asked, eyeing her with a smile.
Robyn frowned, "I-I don't know... What do you have in mind?!" she asked, one eye always on that figure. The one that sings.
J smiled, running his tongue over his top lip.
"I... have a few ideas, love."
