After Brett was done feeding, they played tag around the house like two five year olds, getting laughter and smirks from Jennifer. "Two teenagers and you're acting like children." she said, cleaning the counter top as she watched Brett laugh, Druid chasing him quickly as he grabbed Brett's arm in a tag. Soon, as Brett was running after Druid into the living room, there was a knock at the door. Brett's stepmother answered it, as a familiar female voice asked for Brett. "Brett! There's a girl here to see you!" Jennifer called, amusement in her voice as Brett came to the door, panting from the chase. He frowned a bit, seeing who it was. "Hiya Brett!" Sabrina squealed, throwing her arms around him. "H-hey..." he murmured, pulling away from her. Druid then walked into the room, his smile fading quickly. "Hello there..." he murmured, coming up beside Brett. "Oh my gosh, you're so pretty!" Sabrina cried, touching Druid's hair. Druid frowned, pulling away quickly with wide eyes. Brett frowned, jumping in. "Hey, er, Sabrina. What are you doing here?" he asked, glancing over at Druid then frowning. "Oh. I just wanted to visit... I stayed out of school and stuff... I guess I could go..." she said, glancing at Brett with puppy eyes. Brett and Druid nodded, smiling slightly. "Yup. Bye Sabrina." he said, shutting the door. He watched out the window as Sabrina looked at the door in shock, then stormed off. Brett chuckled, then noticed Druid's expression. "What?" he asked, falling onto the couch, Druid following. "What's with that girl? Is she obsessed with you, or something?" Druid asked, concern and annoyance on his face. "Kinda..." Brett said, smiling. "I guess I'm a real lady charmer." he said, kicking his feet up and resting them on Druid's lap. "Get off of me!" Druid called, chuckling as he pushed Brett's legs off of him. "Come on..." Brett whined, resting his legs back on Druid comfortably. He laughed, leaning back into the couch. Druid drummed a tune on Brett's legs and smirked. "You know, we've barely known each other almost two weeks and we're already best friends. So comfortable around each other, having fun with the dumbest things..." Druid smiled, looking down at Brett. Brett smiled, "Yeah, well. When someone makes you who they are today..." Brett touched a fang with his tongue, "You learn a lot about them and who they are, and learn to like them. Thus, becoming friends, then best friends." Brett sighed, closing his eyes for a second. "I'm really glad all that happened." he murmured, grinning over at Druid. "How sweet..." Brett and Druid looked up to see Jennifer standing in the doorway, smiling. "It's like you two were made for each other." she chuckled, and Brett glanced at Druid with a smirk. "Yeah... almost like he knew I was coming..." he grinned, and the two laughed. Jennifer smiled sweetly, admiring the two as she moved on to sweep the kitchen and living room. Brett sat up and sighed, thinking of Jared again. It all seemed so fast. Brett felt tears well in his eyes as he thought back to when they did things together. A tear ran down his face as he quickly wiped it away, hoping Druid didn't see it. Of course he did, it was Druid. "What's wrong, Brett?" Druid asked softly, facing him. Brett shook his head and frowned, "Just... Jared..." he murmured, leaning forward and resting his face in his hands. Druid frowned, resting his hand on Brett's back comfortingly. "Please, don't cry." he murmured, and Brett jumped from his hand. Tears dotted from his eyes and soaked his hand, as he cried softly. He cursed his emotions for being so easy to spark up. Brett jumped in surprise again as Druid pulled him into a hug. "It's gonna be okay. I'm here for you while you need me." he murmured, as Brett hugged him back. "I'll miss him..." Brett whispered hoarsely, sobbing into Druid's shoulder. "I hate how emotional I am..." he cried, shivering. Druid rocked him slowly, holding him tightly. Druid breathed, "It'll be okay..."
