Description Brett sniffed, lifting his head. "O-okay..." he said shakily, before Jennifer came in. Brett wiped his face and she came up. "Brett, what's wrong sweetie?" she asked, taking his face in her hands and looking at his red eyes. "I'm fine... Drake helped me." Brett said, almost forgetting he had to call Druid, "Drake". Jennifer smiled sweetly at Druid, as if mentally thanking him. She then stood, looking at the two briefly before leaving to her house work. Brett turned and smiled to Druid. "So what else did you have in mind for today?" he asked, sniffing one last time. Druid grinned, "This may be a little odd, but I was thinking we could go on a er... walk." he chuckled sheepishly. Brett thought for a second, before smiling. "Alright, that sounds fun. Just unwinding." he stood slowly, stretching his arms. Druid stood after him, and the two started walking down the street, just talking side by side. Soon, when they were in town, they started singing aloud, ignoring the stares and looks of people. Brett then suddenly stopped, standing in front of a coffee shop. He then turned and looked at Druid, smirking. "What? I'm not buying you coffee." Druid said, grinning. "No, no... I just want some. I'll pay." Brett chuckled, walking into the shop. The two sat across from each other in a booth, until an older waitress came to take their orders. Druid, not knowing how to react this day in age, made Brett order for them, resulting in the two both getting a cappuccino. "Have you ever had one before?" Brett asked, leaning on his hand. Druid pursed his lips, then shook his head. Brett grinned, "Well, you'll like it. Maybe." he smirked, before the waitress brought their drinks and sat them in front of the boys. Brett wrapped his fingers around the cup, taking a sip. Druid only looked at his hesitantly. "Drink." Brett urged, nudging the cup towards him. Druid smiled softly, before picking up the paper cup and drinking from it slowly. He put it back on the table again, licking his lips. "How is it?" Brett asked, half grinning. "Yes." Druid said, taking another large gulp. Brett laughed, watching Druid chug it down. "Slow down. I wanna make this last awhile." Brett said, smiling. Druid looked at him in surprise, then laughed. The vampires sat there for about two hours, just talking with each other. Finally, after taking small, strung out sips, they finished their drinks and left, Brett paying for both of them as promised. They then continued down the street, walking. They came to the park then, and chased each other around in hide and seek. Brett curled up atop of the slide in the playground for small children, awaiting Druid to find him. There was a small cover over it, so he was unseen. Finally, Druid crawled up the ladder and grinned, yelling, "I found you~!" in a singsong voice. Brett laughed, diving down the slide on his stomach and into the wood chips below. Druid followed after, painfully landing on the dark haired boy. Brett groaned, then laughed, shoving Druid off of him. Brett sighed, sitting cross legged on the ground beside Druid, who was recovering on the ground. Druid brushed some wood chips off his shirt, then sat in front of Brett, leaning back on his arms. After a moment of silence, Druid sighed. "It's so weird... and fun... to have a friend." he smiled, tossing a large wood chip at Brett's chest. "Yeah. Especially a friend I can do this with, and it not be awkward. I'm glad that I'm with you now and not Dante and..." he paused, not saying the name. "They were the wrong crowd. Plus, being a vampire is an upside." he smiled, chuckling. Druid smiled, looking up at the evening sky. "I'm glad just to have a friend." he whispered, running a hand through thick, silver hair. Brett sighed, then fell back onto his back. Druid chuckled, crawling on his hands and knees and falling beside him, his arms behind his head. Just then, a small girl came up to the teenagers. They both looked at her with gleaming eyes and smiled. She giggled, swaying slightly. "You two look really happy."
