Brett smiled, speaking before Druid could. "That's because we are." he said, half grinning over at Druid as he sat up and hugged his knees. "You're cute together." she giggled again, then trotted off to her mother who was watching closely. She guided her child back to the car, smiling back at the two teenager's sitting on the playground. Druid, who was clearly surprised by her words, swallowed loudly and sat up beside Brett. "Did she just call us..." he paused, then smirked, "cute?". Brett laughed, "Yeah. Weird choice of wording." Brett looked up at the darkening sky, flexing his throat. Druid watched it, the vein pounding. He swallowed, resisting the urge to tackle Brett and drink him dry. Despite him being of the vampric species. Brett looked at Druid, feeling his eyes on him. "Er... Druid?" he asked, seeing his crimson eyes on his neck. Brett's eyes widened as he held his hands over his throat, breaking the mesmerizing spell of bloodlust over Druid. Druid blinked, then ran a hand through his hair. "S-sorry... I saw your vein and..." he stopped, uttering a shy chuckle. Brett pressed his lips together in a thin line, thinking for a moment before smiling faintly. "I-if you would like..." he fidgeted with his thumbs slightly. "You can... bite me..." he murmured, shifting his gaze to the ground. Druid hadn't bitten him since he had turned him, so he was still tender about it but... he figured he owed it to his friend. Druid's face lit up a bit. "Oh, r-really? Okay..." he muttered, slowly and anxiously coming up near Brett. Brett tilted his head to the side, exposing his throat along with the transfixing vein. Druid exhaled slowly, before leaning up and biting down lightly, barely breaking the skin before sinking his fangs deeply into the flesh. He drank at a steady pace, gulping heavily. Brett let out a quiet groan in discomfort, closing his eyes tightly. After a few seconds of drinking, Druid pulled away, flicking his tongue against the wound. Brett jumped at the motion, placing a hand on the wound. He wiped it slowly with his hand, swallowing slowly. Druid licked his lips, satisfied and grinned. Blood was still in between and covering his teeth and he chuckled. He smell of blood and the sight of it making Brett hungry. He licked the palm of his hand where the blood he had wiped off rested, and swallowed it hungrily. "Is that better?" he murmured, smiling charmingly. "Yeah." Druid murmured, sucking his teeth to rid them of the remaining liquid. Brett smirked, turning and facing in front of him. His eyes widened to see a woman with a small child holding her hand. Her eyes were wide on and the two teenagers, along with her son. "Mommy, is that a real life vampire?" he asked, looking up at his mother. Her face flushed red, and she dragged her son away. "N-no, sweetie... they were doing something..." she paused, continuing to her car, "else..." she murmured simply, glancing back at them. Brett groaned, resting his face in his hands. "Oh. My. God..." he murmured, his face vibrant red. Druid looked over and frowned, not seeing the woman. "What? What's wrong?" he asked, looking down at Brett, confused. "That woman... She thought we were... Ugh..." he murmured, sighing deeply. Druid raised an eyebrow, frowning. He then came to a realization of what Brett meant and laughed. Druid smirked and winked, "Well, that sounds enjoyable." he said in a low tone. Brett looked at him in disgust and grinned. Druid laughed again, "What? I'm a vampire, it's my job to be charming and lusty.". Brett sighed and shook his head, "No. It's our job to be creatures of the night, non-existent to the mortal eye." he smirked, standing slowly and brushing the wood chips off of his jeans. "I think it's about time we got home. We didn't even tell Jennifer we were going out.." Brett said, looking up at the rising moon. Druid nodded, standing slowly and brushing his own pants off. The two started walking in silence, until Druid broke it with a sigh. "Hey, Brett..." he murmured. "Thanks."
