Description Brett rolled his eyes, then took off in a sprint towards the silverette. He finally got up the stairs, looking around, then heard a giggle from his room. Brett smirked, running at the door and pushing it open. He found his room normal once more, except for the teenager curled up under the sheets on his bed. Brett smiled, “Oh Drake~?”  he sang, slowly walking up to the bed. He saw the sheets move, another giggle coming from them. “Found you!” Brett yelled, leaping full on onto the ball. “Ahgh! Get off~” Druid laughed, rolling over and shoving Brett into the floor. Brett landed with a thump, laughing in chokes. Druid flopped back into Brett’s bed, chuckling as he rolled around. “Your bed is comfortable...” he murmured, burying his face into a pillow. “Don’t smell that!” Brett yelled, chuckling as he grabbed Druid’s arm and pulled him out of the bed and flopping into the floor. “I wasn’t...” Druid whined, rolling over on his back. Brett laughed, sitting in the floor beside him. “I’m sleepy...” he murmured, grinning. Druid shrugged, “Nah... Sleep is for the weak.” he gave a half grin. “Well, Druid, you should know newer vampires still need sleep!” a voice called from the window. The two looked up quickly to see Thane, sitting on the window. “Druid, we need to talk, like, right now...” Thane said, his tone serious once more. “What...” Druid hissed, clearly annoyed. “Druid! They found you out!” Thane growled, leaping inside the room. “Apparently, your Follower decided to feed and leave his scent everywhere. The Vampric Conclave found it.” Thane shook his head, glaring angrily at Brett. “Don’t you know you’re supposed to clean up?! Now they’re taking Druid away!” he yelled, his voice cracking sadly. Brett stood slowly, “W-what...? No... No, I...” he shook his head, looking down at Druid sadly. “No! They can’t take him...” he whispered, as Druid stood and grabbed his shoulders. “Look... I knew this would happen... Please, I swear I’ll come back to you...” his eyes had begun to water, and the crimson eyed boy sighed shakily. “How... How did they know?” Brett asked, looking to Thane for a second. “Once you become a Follower... Your scent merges with that of who made you a Follower. So you smelled like Druid, too.” Thane squeezed his eyes shut and sighed. Druid looked down at Brett, tears beginning to form in both their eyes. “I’ll miss you.” he whispered hoarsely, embracing Brett tightly as he cried silently. “I don’t want you to go... Please, Druid!” Brett sobbed, “W-what are they gonna do? Are they going to kill you?!” he asked, balling Druid’s shirt in his hands tightly. Thane opened his eyes again, neither Druid or him said anything. “Druid, you have twenty four hours or the Conclave will come for you themselves.” he murmured, and quickly left. “Brett... I...” Druid began, but shook his head. Brett choked on sobs, his emotions spilling out like a waterfall for the fact that he was losing his best friend. He buried his face into Druid’s chest, shaking. “Please don’t go...” he whispered, feeling Druid nuzzle into his neck. “Don’t even ask, just start walking away. I’ll always be with you.” Druid whispered, smiling sadly as he quoted himself from earlier. Brett shook violently, feeling a hand on his cheek. “Hey... Don’t look so sad... I’m not leaving...” Druid swallowed, sniffing. “I’m just... Going away for a while.” his voice broke to a whispered, whipping Brett’s face with his thumb. “I couldn’t leave you if I tried.” Brett shook his head, “But...” he choked back a sob, “I... I don’t want you to go. Dante left... Jared left... I don’t want another friend to die!” he sobbed, not caring if his mother, father, or even the whole neighborhood heard him. Druid broke into a sob, not being able to hold it back. He linked his hands behind Brett’s head, looking him straight in the face. “I’ll be fine, oh, don’t you worry, I’ll be fine... See I’m in a hurry to be gone away a while...” he whispered. “Don’t worry about it, really... You’re my best friend... Always.”
