I hoped when you woke, that you'd smile at meand ruffle your hair.
I hoped that you thought of me when you whisked yourself into
it's open arms.
I hoped that you were happy, as I counted every marred kiss,
hazel-warm expressions.
Most of all, I hoped you whispered to yourself about me, filled to the brim with regrets
just like I did for you.
The breath between god's jaws flitting across your speckled flesh
and I hope you were plagued by me, just as I am.
I do not, however, hope you were content to die.
Just as I am.
