2. Read #1 again: Discontinued. Not enough time to get people together to work on this collaboration

4. L's Section is more difficult and tends to loop more if you choose the wrong option.
5. There are different endings and different cut-scenes depending on which path you go; usually cut-scenes mean you're doing good/chose the right option so far

I understand why you get arrested after asking L if he is L. It's because he doesn't know who Kira is and he has already told you his real name. I guess it was a precaution.

Don't try to be smart, if you tell him you suspect something or know something without him telling you he'll arrest you.

Tell him Light is jus someone from class
Tell him you think Kira is Evil
and that Kira needs to be caught
ask him about the hotel
Ask him 'why is that?'
Ask him what working on the Kira case has to do with Light
Ask if Light is working with the police
Ask him who he is to suspect Light is Kira
After he tells you he's L say '...I see'
Then keep asking him Why.
Tell him Kira needs to be stopped
And that you'd do anything to stop Kira
So pretty much Ask him about his sweets and let him tell you the details.
Asking if Light and him are "Special" friends WILL get you kicked out XD
