The return of my Ideas From a Box series, but with new rules (and there's no actual box involved).

This year (as all previous years) I want to get more consistent about art creation. Part of the struggle is just getting the first few lines on the page. In an effort to make this daily step more fun and easy, I'm reviving my old Ideas From a Box drawing challenge with a new set of parameters to make it both easier and interesting:

1. I randomly select a character to draw (as before), but this time I'm limited to only characters I have design sheets for. I use a site called Picker Wheel (pickerwheel.com/ ) to choose which character gets drawn that day.
2. Instead of a random prompt from a list I thought of ahead of time, now I'm letting a Random Word Generator (randomwordgenerator.com/ ) give me 2 words to work with. I never know what it's going to give me, which is part of the fun.
3. Once I start drawing, I have only 5 minutes to finish the drawing. Details like coloring or lettering can go over, but the main sketch must be done in 5 minutes or less. This prevents me from getting hung up on details or going overboard on what needs to just be a warmup exercise.
4. paper/pen/pencil/notebook/sketchbook location doesn't matter. As long as a drawing was made somewhere on that day, it counts.

Here are the results for week 1:
Jan 2nd - Gnomes, Patient, Herd - Gnomes wait patiently in a sheep pen.
Jan 3rd - Leah, Gene, Nature - Leah picks different colors of wild violets.
Jan 4th - Eddy, Lock, Fade - Eddy finds himself in an Alice in Wonderland situation, and he's not thrilled.
Jan 5th - Mrs. Paddlefoot, Nest, Abnormal - Mrs. Paddlefoot has found some unusual eggs. She wonders who the mother might be. (She has never seen Game of Thrones.)
Jan 6th - Alex, Meat, Distribute - Alex ensures a fair burger distribution at a cookout.
Jan 7th - Dennis, Calm, Perfect - Dennis tries to be zen, but his life doesn't work that way.
Jan 8th - Eddy, Nature, Swop [sic] - Eddy performs a SWOP analysis on the family garden (while Grub rolls his eyes).
