Aww, cuteness! ^.^ For whatever reason, I really liked the look of this pokΓ©mon right off the bat, and honestly think it's my favorite of the 4th-gen starters so far (seeing the evolutions later might end up swaying my opinion, after all). I really like the angle you chose to approach it from, as well as the choice of bringing in the lighting from behind... really gives the picture overall an interesting look.
I agree, simplicity can work wonders sometimes. XD
