-also, go under the name common Hoop snake

- it is poisonous, but its bite is rarely deadly

- this snake is the only one of the Hoop snake species who have evolved skin around its fat belly to stretch out with its rips and make it able to glide. it does not have fat reserve as the other Hoop snakes

- it is possible the most agile of all of the Hoop snakes. it is normally seen up in trees or on cliffs where it will jump from to either get away from bigger predators or to catch prey.

- Gravel snakes prefer to flee away from bigger creatures than stay.

- in the air, it will move in a repeating "S" movement to be able to glide in a longer time. Stone snakes have been seen glide over 5 meters in slight windy weather. they have also been seen avoid people in midair, although they are not incredible agile so there are stories from time to time about flying sentient beings getting smacked in the head by a gliding stone snake
