Description Moar posters and entries from his work! As well as a little response from his sister!

Will be happy to answer questions about Tepkk, the Inquest, or even small responses as Tepkk in the comments to other residents of Tyria! This will hopefully be a semi ongoing series as writing as Tepkk and his family has been a good bi daily exercise.

Entry #3
The Golem call

So Kizz I hope you are doing well in your new lab. I know it was you who somehow got access to this and passed it out to who knows what. Thank you for being nice enough to tell me at least that you were reading and enjoying my private little recordings. I know you are now the authoritative one in this family being a proper scientist and all so I would like to ask you at least to only share these out to a few people if possible. Please.

And to sweeten the deal I will do as you asked and recount in greater detail the Golem call I had.

As with most stories of terror and misfortune it started like a normal day. I woke up, wished you well at your own training as it was about two or three years ago now, grabbed a travel meal and headed to INQ HQ. This was before we were given portable screen stations to sign in for the day and charge our ear piece so we had to clock in each day at the HQ itself. If I remember right there was actually a delivery that day by Soren Subs for lunch. I can't remember the exact reason for it though. It was a whole table though. Probably some kind of lab celebration for success. I just remember the smell and the large table with Sorens little sandwich...heh...sandwich board there with their contact information and picture. Wasn't for PR too. I remember that as I was shooed away after trying to sneakily waddle over.

But once wired up and informed I would be setting up one of the public lecture halls for a presentation later that day I started my rounds. Some Progeny were my first stop of the day as they were clearly very bored and eager to hear anything that wasn't the public address system. Thankfully because I had more free time back then and also due to you Kizz I was more up to date on the activities the youth enjoy and we had a nice little talk about Polymock and what a shame it was that the area built for it was still having technical difficulties. Playing it on a screen really doesn't compare to the real thing. They were pleased that a 'stuffy Inquest' knew of the game and even discussed strategy with them and admitted they were more interested in the Reds now that they knew you didn't have to be a boring 'bean counter'. Not sure where they got that impression but hey progress.

After those kids not much else happened until near lunch time when I was approached by a rather angry Professor of Dynamics, no idea of her name anymore, who complained that some of our tech had been found in student study spaces. I'd prefer not to say thankfully but well...thankfully she didn't know exactly what they were and so after I asked her to carefully describe them to me I assured her that they were just audio playback devices. Something the students no doubt used to record her amazingly intelligent lectures to listen to again. To ensure the lesson stuck with them so the Professor would look even more skilled. Once she was gone I quickly keyed out however and informed the Kontroller that we needed to get some people over there to remove the video recording and editing devices before more scandals started in Dynamics. We didn't need another squad of Professors out for blood after their heads were edited onto Bookahs doing stupid things with big Inquest watermarks in the corner. You likely know Kizz but don't ever annoy a group of Dynamics if you can help it. They may not get along too often but if they have a common enemy they 100% will. And then all of your devices will break horribly with you often near them. If they don't just throw auto wrenches at you in the street.

Then it was lunch time. I had a moa wing if I remember. It was pretty nice.

But shortly after lunch I received the Golem Call. Immediately I headed toward one of our supply lockers dotted around Rata Sum and quickly grabbed the rifle and the net gun....snnk...only joking. Once there and being informed that the incident happened at the docks I let the...male if I remember rightly - director that I was on route and then heard five other fellow PR call in as well. I grabbed several safety barriers and a mega phone and headed down after that.

I wasn't the first to arrive but as I headed down the ramps to the docks I could see that something purple and gross looking was oozing out from under a golem that was very quickly rusting. Really not a good sign but I pressed on. Thankfully a lot of bystanders hadn't arrived yet so myself and the others were able to get the barriers set up about forty feet from the fallen golem. I would later learn this was about twenty feet too few. Once that was done two of us moved off to help the Krewe that had been next to the golem when it had fallen which left three of us there to hold the line. Mmmm milk is good.

Holding the line wasn't as hard as youd expect as unlike some radiation leaks there was a very obvious purple haze around the docks. We were outside it visually but not chemical wise but it helped keep the people away. And while being recorded all the time may be annoying it was also very helpful here as we were given updates on what happened to tell the worried boat masters and passer-bys what had happened. We of course didn't tell them that it was a prototype reactor but that it was a golem core malfunction instead. A new model that ran on very dense and compressed gas so please move along so we can get the cleaning Krewes here as quickly as possible. I do remember one child asking why we didn't have masks on if it was a gas leak and that realization did really make me worry. Why didn't we? I hadn't thought of it in the rush to set up the cordon and keep people back. Which is why now I carry one in my left backside pouch. Just in case. Thankfully the fully gasmasked and suited up Inquest arrived about eight minutes after we did and were able to contain the leakage in about ten if I remember. And while Asura are curious if they smell, see, and feel something is off as all of us did there they tend not to stick around or stay further back. I don't think there were many reported cases of sickness from the onlookers there but us five PR who arrived and the Krewe next to the golem sure were. As I mentioned two weeks of bouts of hacking. Completely randomly as well as a general feeling of weariness. I have the medical report around here somewhere and I should have grabbed it to list the exact words on the report. Thankfully the coughing would only come generally once or twice every few hours and not last too long and the anti-radiation pills and scans we were given when we clocked in did improve it over those two weeks before we were cleared. I've been assured that it won't cause me any complications later in life and to keep myself from panicking daily that my ears are suddenly going to fall off I have done what I can to convince myself to trust the creepy main doctor at HQ. I have noticed that I like more salt on food that I did before. But like before I was assured that was normal. I hope that was what you were looking for Kizz.

Come to me milk sustain my voice. Oh, that public lecture thing I was told I would be doing that day? Cancled as I was in the medical wing of HQ being sprayed down and scrubbed with brushes. Not a good experience would not recommend.

Maybe this recording device is from your lab so you have access to the backdoor. That wouldn't surprise me. Stay safe sis. End recording.

Smart cookie!

Hello big brother of mine. It was a good guess but this lab doesn't make audio equipment. But as mom and dad always told us the connections you make in the Inquest are often far more important than your own personal knowledge. I got it sent to you from a friend of mine. Thank you for continuing to record in it it gives me something to read while I wait for samples to incubate. Or for the latest experiment to be cleaned up. But thats all I'll say for now besides keep it up. At least this way I can let you know I'm still active and the like.

A bit sad to see that mom n dad still don't come around too often. You should try to get yourself a friend beyond work. That would probably mean less staring at the wall cooking food. I mean if thats what you're still into you do you.

Yes B4 I'm aware of that, go walk around my station four times and then check back in.

AFFRIMATIVE.

Ah that B4, such a stupid hunk of metal this lab saddled me with. ME! Slowed down by an incompetent lifter golem when I need something far faster for my studies. No I can't tell you what they are so don't you ask.

ONE.

It is a nice facility at least. Much nicer than Aquanarium thats for sure. And we have proper security thats an actual Asura not just a golem. Got a break room and several labs, medical section and surgery, and even a body and evidence disposal room! Imagine that! A whole room just for that.

TWO.

But the agreement I made when I was transferred to this lab I cant tell you what we are doing here. Not because its overly secret but Biiiig brother you don't have the clearance to know about our new research her. Its not super dangerous or dragon related don't you worry I won't suddenly become a branded Asuracorn or anything.

THREE.

Keep at it though, and soon I'll be able to talk to you more openly about work rather than just enjoying your stories about your own. I do kind of miss working the PR beat with you as you still deal with the Mother Cube's citizens which always kept days interesting. Even if the politicians made me want to pull my hair tails out.

Ugggggggh fine. Keep doing the good work you do brother. Know that even if other departments look down on you that you keep a lot of them from losing funding. They do appreciate it just are too proud to admit. Now back to this atomic compound.

Oh uhh...Kizz out!
