Description
I think about this often. It's canon that Peter is extremely durable, difficult to injure and ten times harder to kill.
Stronger bones, tougher skin, greater capacity to survive impact.
But spiders and other small animals are prone to going into shock when hit hard enough or falling, which makes sense.
So what about Peter?
In my HC, Peter can take tremendous damage, yes, but if hit hard enough to not be fatal, i see him going into a state he nicknames "fall shock."
Usually this happens after a major fall (hence the name), but can also happen when simply hit hard enough, such as by a speedy vehicle or any high-speed impact that would be fatal to the average person.
With hits and even possibly getting hit by cars, fall shock usually lasts only a few moments, but if he falls from a terrible height, he might be in shock for several minutes.
Fall shock works in that Peter will go into a sort of autopilot.
His limbs will curl in tensely and may tremor.
He will lose motility and may lose basic consciousness and functions such as hearing and other sensory input.
This state leaves him very vulnerable, and often warrants a check for broken bones or even organ damage.
The fall shock state is Peter's body's way of trying to repair itself as fast as possible -- faster than usual.
It can be critical if he sustains a potentially fatal injury.
Fall shock provides faster repair of injured organs, internal bleeding and breaks.
If fall shock is encountered, it's recommended he get to a hospital or infirmary ASAP just to be safe.

Just something neat i wanted to touch on!
The pics are stages of his shock, with the static and distortion expressing his lack of sensory input and general disorientation.
Enjoy!
