Winter passed. Honey and Hunter becoming fast friends and there was a tension that Hunter just couldn't figure out. They had stayed in that area until the snow began to melt. While Hunter watched the horizon while Honey grazed, his mind wandered...
Was this what it would be like to have a herd? He felt he had found something special here, with Honey. A purpose. Hunter was shaken out of his thoughts when Honey brushed up to his side, making his ears burn.

"Y-yes?" He stuttered, immediately internally cringing at his flusteredness.

"I have a question for you, Hunter." She said, looking up at him.

"What are we? Are we friends? Is this temporary? Are we herdmates?"

Well this was...direct.

Hunter breathed a sharp inhale as his face grew hot.

"I-I..uh. Well, I was hoping we could be....ahem..herdmates?"

Honey's eyes widened for a moment before she smiled, looking away for a moment, before bringing her muzzle to his and lightly nuzzling him.

Hunter hesitated before reaching down and meeting her halfway, both sharing a tender moment as their feelings were realized.
