It's been a while since I've delved into the Macabre & Horror section...I have wanted to make an Alice manip for so long now, but every time I try and make one, I am unhappy with the result. I dunno...I'm semi happy with this one.This, of course, is not based on the Disney Alice, but the American McGee Alice. Gawd, I love that game.
*Note: That's the cheshire cat's smile in the background, and the heart that is pierced by Alice's blade belongs to that evil bitch, the Queen of Hearts.

Argh, don't you hate it when that happens? I'm always afraid it's going to be too bright in my room when I'm maniping - therefore, I will not see glaring mistakes I've made, due to the fact the light is shining on my monitor. I suppose I could always pull the shades down...

Yeah, I know what you mean. If the sun is out, even with the shades down it can still be quite bright. I prefer to work at night, but even then having a light on in the room really affects the way I see the monitor. The best would be to manip in the dark, but that's just way too harsh on my eyes. Grr.

Lovely game. I never quite finishd it, but then again I was a horrible gamer at the time (not to say I'm not now). And it's coincidental- I've just gotten into an Alice roleplay where everything's more McGee than Carrol.
The socks make me want to think that Alice doubled as the Wicked Witch of the East.

Ah, well you should finish it sometime! I finally finished it, but I will admit I had to cheat on a few occasions, due to the fact the gameplay can become quite frustrating at times. But it's just so fun to look at.

It's because I cheated that I couldn't finish. XP It glitched when I cheated so I had to use the one that jumped you from map to map. It didn't help that my computer's colors are off by a few shades, either; took me forever to figure out that there was a ramp in the first level and not just dark space.

wow, I really like this, It really is Alice in wonderland! and the warping really adds to the whole effect!
Clothing, pose and scene are all good, the only thing I can 'crit' on is that I've veiwed Alice as a younger looking figure, but that's it! The whole thing is great!
Have you played Clive Barker's version of Alice? It's great, very haunting and dark!!!

oh, yeah, the clive barker version is damn kewl, I usually stick to doom, or unreal tournament (shoot-em-up games) but this was so damn nice, I played it from start to finish!!!

You're right - it's not easy getting the right stock sometimes. Sometimes, I am tempted to take a picture of myself and use it, that way I get the exact pose and whatnot that I want. You know?
Yes...Buffy as Alice. Haha! When I watched The Grudge, I kept seeing her as Buffy, too. I don't think I will ever be able to see her as anyone but Buffy. I mean, I like her and all...I'm just a little wary of her as Alice. Oh well...she might end up being great.
I will have to check out the Clive Barker version. I bought Clive Barker's Undying, but I still have yet to really play it. OMIGOSH, I love Doom. But not Doom 3 (I haven't played it, but I've seen my boyfriend play it) - I love the old school Doom and Doom 2.

So what exactly is this Clive Barker game called, anyway? Haha, you know...your summary of Undying just reminded me of why I have barely played that game since I bought it. As for pixels...I adore them. I miss the original Dooms soooo much. I have a copy of Doom 2, but I can't get it to work with my mouse (and I'm sorry - I just cannot play the game using the arrow keys alone. It's annoying!). Did you ever play the old school Wolfenstein 3D? I loved that one, too - even though Return to Castle Wolfenstein kicks butt too (and not to mention, it's got a lot better graphics.

The game - as far as I know, Is just called - "Alice" without the 'in wonderland' bit on the end... Definately worth a look! I have played Return to castle Wolfenstein, but I haven't played games for a long time, as I tend to get addicted, and before you know it, you've chewed up hours...
But "Painkiller" is a must too!!!!!!!
Now I save that for DA
