looking at myself through a reflection in tearsdistorted perceptions of the face staring back
puddles of sorrow getting bigger with time
losing more and more of myself inside
disconsolate surroundings
perpetually blinding me with imperfections of light
weaving defections into my soul
and leaving me bereft of self
returning to the place i loathe
to look at myself through biased eyes
eyes that know my biggest fears
eyes that drag me down to meet them
face down in myself
waiting to drown alone
