The Quetzzal is a breed of Equestrians, who were first born in the high dusty mountains of the Outlands. The first two were siblings,
Zalia (Right) , and her brother, Xandal (Left),
they both have lost a limb and one of their eyes in an accident, yours can have all four legs~

These creatures can be of any color, as long as they sport the scaled neck and the snake like tail.
Their species name is derived from the name of the Mayan God, Quetzalcoatl, because of their snake like features and the feathers that they have on their backs.

These creatures aren't born with 'Special Talents' that they obtain, they Find their own way.

These are a live bearing species.

Females are sleeker and have less feathers on their backs, they can have any type of fur and hair, but their hair on their tail must reach at least halfway down the tip. Their coats are normally more muted in color, but still can be rather bright.

Males have more of a crest like placement of feathers that go around their shoulders and backs, the males are also a bit more saturated in color, not like neon though. They also have visible fangs that protrude from the sides of their mouths.
