For the past two days I've been trying to come up with an idea about how the site's layout update should be.
Suggestions regarding the Core members' benefits:
Core members should have the ability to customize their background image or colors.
The number of Custom boxes should be 20 instead of 10 for Core Members.
Access to all of the widgets that already existed in this site.
Core members being able to change their username every 3 months.
Suggestions regarding the NON-Core members' benefits:
Non-Core members should have the ability to change the colors of their backgrounds.
Non-Core memebers should be given the right to have at least 1 custom box compared to now that they have non.
Non-Core members should have access to the polls widget.
Non-Core members should have access to the critique feature.
Non-Core members being able to change their username every 6 months.
In addition, the following features would also be included in this version:
Light Mode
Likes button in comments

What if this concept of Eclipse had actually the option for users to customize and change the colors of your profile?

(These colors can also be used in combination like for instance a Red Header and black profile colors with a yellow Font)

As far as the Notifications system, it's perfect the way it is now (classic version). It's comfortable and user-friendly. The only change it would have should be the colors to match the new ones.
If you agree with this version of DeviantART Eclipse, please share it in any possible way so that our voices can be heard and for DeviantART to continue being the unique site we all know and love.
I also urge you to use the blank version and add your own information from your own profile and share it with the rest of the members.

This idea is way better then what Da is forcing onto us. It's cleaner, has all our options and more, and the core-memberships feels like your gaining something. However, I doubt Da will ever pay attention to this, for they probably spent a lot of money on eclipse mode for it to even exist.
I do agree with InvaderRim. If all else fails, you could defiantly make your own website out of this. Most (if not the majority) would defiantly flock to it if Da keeps going this route.

No stash is still there and useable ya just gotta take extra steps to get to stash writer. Its pretty annoying and looks funky but hopefully it works okay.

Well from what i seen they didn't mention anything about stash writer and looking on eclipse they got rid of stash writer i need that to wright my fanficton's i dont have anything on my computer that will let me write i guess thats just one thing i will have to make tumblr exclusive as i would not be able to continue any of my stories on may 20th. I agree with you about the profile lay out it is ugly but navigating it is hard but im sure i'll get use to it well more like i will be forced to get use to it like many others on here.

I like there version of stash editor. Its. Fine. IT works fine. Their editing tool works. Fine. ITs fine. Its basically the same as stash editor.

i guess my biggest issue is just with the layout on everything on your profile and the layout of how everything lokos which to me looks like a three year old discovering what word press is and not knowing how to actually design websites. That i dont like

furaffinity is horrendously bad compared to Eclipse. It doesnt allow you to edit the document at all. It basically only forces u to download a word document

Tumblr is the only one i know of thats good for rping its iffy for art and writing but it is quite simple hmmm.... im not so sure if you would like toyhouse or weasyl but those are the only ones i know of.

its pretty horendous. I tried it out and theres no folders no organization its basically like twitter or facebook where the posts just hang down. It was actually one of the worst options i tried out with only google docs being worse. Its extremely bad. I tested out Eclipse and eclipse is miles better then tumblr
oh adn tumblr also gets extra points for being a broken site that doesnt work. It automatically thinks im like 12 and theres no way to switch on and off safe mode. So as such i have to go through a hundred different tabs every time i want to view anything NSW
and i wont even take SJW twitter seriously

Well yeah thats true tumblr dose have not organizational trust me my blog is a mess i wish i could organize it lol. tumblr has a safe mode? i didn't even know that wow the more ya know but what i know tumblr band nsfw becuase of the porn bot issue but that didn't really solve the issue theirs still porn bots on there but a friend of mien showed me how to make my pm's open for people i follow now i dont get any more of those annoying spam messages.

its weird going from vertical to horizontal for me but i also like it. Its kind of a pain in the ass. My gallery is SUPER ORGANIZED. I have folders in folders upon folders in folders. Its like Inception with folder shaha XD for horizontal its very easy to just find everything right then and there. As opposed to Vertical where i have to go constantly running around looking for everything
