These are the main protagonists for the Subjects comic

to explain them better, I'll have to talk about Advan Labs
Advan Labs is a company with the slogan "looking at the advantage for your disadvantage"
they call for people with some disability or deficiency or something of the sort
and they say they "will fix" your problem, and they kinda do... but in reality, they use those people to make experiments.
and people say that when someone enters there... they never come back.

that until a long time later, when the company has closed for a good while and they let all the experiments to a long sleep... until one day they started to wake up

and this brings to our main protagonists:
subject #163: a boy that is mute and was promissed to be given a voice.
he can talk now, not with mouth... with the electricity present in you. They gave him electric manipulation.
as to be expected, he's very energetic.
for a mute 11 year old, he talks a lot, huh.

subject #28: a girl that is blind and was promissed to be given vision.
she can see the world with much more clarity now, but not with her eyes... with her mind. They gave her psychic abilities.
I mean, she can see normally, but only when it's something easy to see... it's hard to explain, it would be easier with a "show, not tell" explanation.
she is pretty quiet and nervous, and aware that she is not normal since she is one of the first experiments in the Advan Labs, and she's been there since most of her life.
for a 19 year old, she didn't really see much of the world.

TRIVIA:
here's the main inspiration for the Advan Labs and the Subject series in general:
I am anosmic, that means I can't feel any smells.
so if anything is burning on the kitchen, I wouldn't be able to tell.
and when my mom found out (after a bunch of times that I told her), she got me into a hospital.
they tried to see what they could do, which it turned out that they could do nothing.
the thing is, who said I wanted to be able to smell? I didn't want them to "fix" me.

and that became the inspiration for the Advan Labs, a company that says will fix people but have other objectives in mind.
