Planet Zebes from Super Metroid. This piece was made in Photoshop using the brilliant space-art techniques from Greg Martin ([link] ).I used the 16-bit sprite of Zebes from Super Metroid's intro overlayed atop the planet layer, and the 3D model of Samus' gunship is from Super Smash Bros. Brawl (plus some extra engine backwash effects).

I actually saw this in King K's review of the Metroid games. I was not disappointed as to why he used it. I am in shock, and awe as to how this piece turned out. And it is also to see a fan of the late, great Greg Martin using his art techniques. REALLY excellent job!

I used this piece of art to make a portrait of Metroid Zero Mission for a video playthrought im doing for non-lucrative purposes. just for fair use and fun. if you're not agreed just tell me and I remove it as soon as possible. heres theΒ Link .
I love how you give that texture effect on the planet and the shine effect on samus's spaceship. it's gives joy to my pupils with all those smoth colors.

Same here as far as using it for something. In my case a humorous postcard extolling the planet's obvious tourist potential. I'm giving you credit and a link from my post on Tumblr, and will pull it back down if you say.
