Chalk pastel? One of my favorites.
Nice use of color on the face, and i like that you let the texture show through as well. Probably looks even better in person. Quite nice.

Yeah chalk pastels are an all time fav, but this is actually colored pencils

Very intriguing. Your style still shines through the realism. Perhaps its the choice of model (reinforcing visual your tastes in men) or possible stroke work. Whatever the case, even though its not your usual style I think I'd still be able to say this was one of your pieces of it were displayed alongside many others.
What is the media? Pastel, Charcoal? Chalk? Color pencil?
It appears the paper was grey in color so that might be one of the reasons why I think the colors are a little washed out. On the other hand it could be due to other things like scanner/camera lighting or what not. For some reason, I'm thinking it looks better in person.

wow! If this is your 'attempt at realism' then you definately HAVENT failed!Gorgeous lights and shadows and I love how bright and cool the background is - it sets off the warm tones of the face really well. What medium is this?
