Illucid never got to see his real mother, as his father killed her for having a colt and then refusing to leave him to die. He attempted to kill Illucid as well, but the loner Slick came to his aid and raised him. Slick is the only real father Illucid had and he actually assumed they were related by blood. Until the time before his passing, Slick kept it a secret. While on his deathbed, he told Illu about his real parents. Enraged, Illucid went in search of his father. Long story short, he killed him.
