Description Yes, I am also against the platform's allowance to post AI-generated images in the same space as real artist's. I will keep this image on my page to make clear how I feel about it.

Allowing co-existence of AI-generated images without any control from platform's side is supporting FRAUD. People don't mark ai-generated prompt as such to post it as their own on purpose, describing themselves as ARTISTS now.

Typing keywords into a program that spits out a pre-rendered mashup of all art it ever trained on (without owner's consent) with same keywords DOES NOT MAKE ONE AN ARTIST. It is illegal to represent yourself as such in this case by default, specially on portafolio-type platforms, since posting a piece under a name and choosing copyright option automatically breaks all current existing copyright laws known to men. And Deviantart, by FAR, has one of the worst and weakest mechanisms to defend artists by detecting and banning those users. Even before AI generators came in picture you couldn't file a complaint after witnessing someone posting someone else's art as theirs if the original artist didn't have a core membership and auto protection designed to detect it and didn't know about this happening and therefore didn't file a complaint as an owner. Well, AI made it much worse now! Every monkey that gets an access to ai generator can now fish out a randomised pic, post it as theirs, even using watermarks! Yes! And representing themselves as some kind of new-age digital artists, fooling most of users and thriving upon their ignorance.

If your platform has no automated instruments like youtube to detect AI in posts and force this tag on pictures, separating it from human art, you are contributing to fraud. All this cheap ass excuses like "our content guidelines do not prohibit the use of AI in the process of artwork being posted." are just a blabber to cover unwillingness to take action against ai-flooding of artist's communities and IT IS TIME TO UPDATE THOSE CONTENT GUIDELINES ASAP. Because yes, art platforms MUST protect creators (to whom those platforms owe their entire existence) from stealth and abuse, but also because letting ai-generated untagged prompts be on the same page as actual artist's works is still supporting FRAUD:

Ok, now it is going TOO DAMN FAR!,This appeared literally few hours ago, posting as so-called "traditional art" ,Sam Didier, #SamwiseDidier same as Jeff Easley #JeffEasley currently thankfully professionally active, alive and well, would not appreciate their names mentioned in this case( Sorry. However they are pillars of art community and mentioning them is an extra sin. And they (drauganite) even had the courage to accompany this AI-generated mashup with tearful comments about the art school and their teacher! Which probably never existed, same as the school, because if it did, they would curse such shamelessness. ,THIS IS EXACTLY what I was speaking about in my recent post against AI coexistence with real artists. ,Doubts? Well, here it goes:,,,,,,,forget about background fuckups, AI is even better then me with backs (lol) but look at THIS marvel!))) Are those toe tips showing? XDDD:,,,,,Couldn't mimic earrings?) Poor AI, we've all been there) But BOOBS!!!! Failing boobs is simply OUTRAGEOUS!,Does anyone know what's going on here? I failed to identify...Is this supposed to be a furry berry or a beak-less chicken? ,,,,,,,The shit below I won't even comment, you all have eyes @_@ ,,,,,,Honest to God this is the first time I make an actual post here. I wish circumstances were better, but oh, this is SO OVER THE TOP! DEVIANTART, once again, YOU FAILED to protect art and artists from AI monkeys and fraud. Report mechanisms should be created ASAP to force tag on frauds like that.I consider removing my gallery completely except for one post –> , and leaving a link to yet less compromised boards if there will be no action taken against this shit....

Adding "NOAI" tags and an option to "hide AI-generated art" won't save us, since there are no automated instruments to ACTUALLY detect and separate AI-generated mashups from the real art. SHAME. They learned to do so with videos and music though! So I assume it's all about who fights back harder.
We need all art community platforms to protect artists from being used for generating AI images, but also separating it from real artist's work COMPLETELY. Let AI platforms be created, in all their thousand-fingered and multi-phalanx splendor! Just keep this abomination apart from actual artist's work!!!
It might (and obviously eventually will, no doubt) learn to create flawless images, however people should be given a chance to choose what kind of art they want to contribute to and inspire/get inspiration from.
AI-generators are created to replace artists (and pretty much any other creative professionals) shamelessly and openly. This is inevitable, however it is up to us whether to go down in silence or fight back.

upd. Jun 12, 2023

It seems we were heard New Label Requirement for AI ArtworkStarting today, deviations created using AI tools will need to be labeled as "Created using AI tools." Additionally, improvements are being made to browse settings, allowing deviants to more precisely control how much AI art they experience while browsing.Labeling Your ArtworkWhen submitting artwork, you will now see a required setting on the submit page to indicate whether or not your work was created using AI tools. This setting will be remembered when you submit, so it shouldn’t regularly impact your submission flow.,Once submitted, a label stating “Created using AI tools” will appear on the deviation. This addition was a popular community request and allows all deviants to better identify works they want to engage with.,Apply The Label To Multiple DeviationsFor existing deviations, you can apply the “Created using AI tools” label to multiple deviations at once by following these steps:Visit your GalleryClick “Edit” at the top left of your Gallery pageSelect any deviations to which you want to apply the labelClick on the “Label options” menu and select “Add ‘Created using AI tools’ label” ,You can also apply label options to an entire gallery by using the "..." menu on a specific gallery, or the "All" gallery if you'd like to apply it to all of your deviations. Seeing AI in BrowseSimilar to the existing safe browsing settings, a filter has been added so you can more precisely control how much AI art you see when browsing. This can be toggled from the drop-down menu or from the "Browsing" section of the Account Settings page.,When should my deviation be labeled “Created using AI tools?”DeviantArt defines art created using AI tools as artwork that is either made entirely with AI tools or consists primarily of AI-generated components. If the main focus of the image is self-created and it only includes a small, insignificant AI-generated component, it does not need to be labeled as created using AI tools. However, it is always recommended to disclose the use of AI in your deviation description. What if the art is edited or partially includes AI components? If you aren’t sure whether or not your work should be labeled as created using AI tools, consider the following examples.Example artwork that does need the “Created using AI tools” label:An AI-generated portrait photo that you touched upA short story drafted using ChatGPT and you edited afterwardExample artwork that does not need the “Created using AI tools” label:An illustration you created that's based on an idea generated by ChatGPT, or using a color palette generated by an AI toolA digital painting of a person with a small, insignificant AI-generated element in the backgroundDeviantArt’s Terms of Service have been updated to accommodate these changes.Detecting AI Without LabelsThe new browsing setting has a built-in model that detects AI-generated artwork even when deviants don’t label or disclose their art as being AI-generated. There will always be cases where the model can’t detect if an image is AI-generated or not, but it can sufficiently detect images created using popular AI tools, and the team is working continuously to improve it.Because this is a new feature, it will become more effective over time; as more deviants flag their art as created using AI tools, the browse settings will become more efficient. Your patience is appreciated as continued improvements are made.:
